Sarah Wastella

Sarah is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church.  She is from Northern Virginia, but has also lived in Williamsburg, VA, Syracuse, NY, outside of Philadelphia, PA, in Northern and Southern New Jersey, Norfolk, VA, and now Crozet, VA while serving a local church there.  As a life-long Christian, Sarah seeks integration of her faith and her daily life, and seeks to empower others to do the same.  Nothing is beyond God’s redemption, even secular culture, and so it is not uncommon to find references to modern music, cinema, television, video games, and pop culture in her posts.  In addition to full time ministry, she is raising her son (Luke) and reigning in her two dogs, a spunky Beagle (Macaroon) and a feisty Chihuahua (Cholula).  She is divorced and a single mom.  After running from her call for three years, Sarah has come to embrace this call to ordained ministry with all that she is.  Her ministry is marked by a passion for Scripture, the joy of teaching, and a conviction that Christian faith should be enlivened, fun, and exciting.
